Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get API credentials?

Sign up for a SRGSSR developer account and navigate to My Apps. Create a new application and you will receive a client_id and client_secret to use with the Connected2Fiber OAuth 2.0 flow.

What authentication method do the APIs use?

All SRGSSR APIs use OAuth 2.0 client credentials flow. Exchange your client credentials for a bearer token and include it in the Authorization header of every API request. Tokens expire after 1 hour.

What are the rate limits for the APIs?

Rate limits depend on your subscription plan. The Starter plan allows 10 req/min (500/month), Professional allows 300 req/min (50,000/month), and Enterprise plans have custom limits. All responses include X-RateLimit-* headers.

Are there sandbox environments for testing?

Yes. All APIs have a sandbox environment accessible at sandbox-api.srgssr.com. Sandbox calls don't count against your production quota. Use the Test this API tab on any API detail page to test directly in your browser.

Which programming languages have official SDK support?

Official SDKs are available for JavaScript/Node.js, Python, Java, and Go. Community-maintained libraries are available for PHP and Ruby. See the SDK documentation for installation instructions.

How do I report a bug or request a feature?

For bugs, email developer-support@srgssr.com with a reproduction case and your API version. For feature requests, post in the Community Forum with the tag [feature-request].

What does the SLA cover?

Professional plans include a 99.9% monthly uptime SLA. Enterprise plans offer 99.99% uptime with dedicated failover infrastructure. SLA credits are applied automatically for downtime exceeding the threshold.

Can I use the APIs for international addresses?

Yes. The International Address Validation API supports 254 countries with varying geocoding precision levels (Delivery Point, Premise, Thoroughfare, Locality). US-specific APIs like Address Validation v5 also return enriched fields for domestic addresses.
